Finisterre St Ives
Our company had the pleasure of supplying various items for the shop fit-out of Finisterre St Ives. From the shop front signage to the bank of pegboards, scaffold board tables, and the front desk signage, we worked closely with the team at Finisterre to bring their ideas to life.
The shop front signage has come out brilliantly and was made using the Japanese Yakisugi technique, and the logo engraved with our CNC. The technique allows for the harder grains of the wood to become pronounced and creates a striking effect. We worked with Finisterre to design and manufacture a sign that would stand out on the bustling Fore Street while still maintaining the brand’s natural aesthetic and it’s definitely been achieved. We also made a bus stop sign that grabs your attention from far down the street, pulling customers in to the shop.
Another key element of the shop’s fit-out was the scaffold board tables. These tables, made from reclaimed wood, perfectly complemented the rugged and natural feel of the Finisterre brand. These tables look great with their simple design, with reinforcement between the top and the legs, to allow there to be no visible supports to the legs, giving a great aesthetic to the tables.
The pegboards were another essential item we provided for the shop. These pegboards were not only practical for displaying merchandise but also added a unique and eye-catching element to the shop’s overall design. Banking them as a set of 3 has created a feature wall packed with goods for sale that are easy to get to and are displayed in an eye catching way.
We also provided the signage for the cashier’s desk, which is a continuation of the theme of the outside of the shop. Lastly we provided point of sale displays which aren’t pictured here.
